Manchester City fans will know all about the ‘Poznan Groundhop’ however, Notts County supporters won’t have a clue what I’m talking about.
An estimated 4,700 Citizens are set to descend on Meadow Lane on Sunday and when they do the home support are going to be taken back by what they are about to witness.
In essence, the ‘Poznan Groundhop’ first came to the City of Manchester Stadium earlier in the season when the Blues played Polish side Lech Poznan in a Europa League tie. The away supporters began to do their ‘groundhop’ and now we’ve taken the mantle and added one or two elements of the dance and adapted it to suit our style.
The Poznan usually begins when we score, hence I expect quite a few Blues to be completely knackered after 90 minutes.
Having done my research on YouTube I’ve decided not to show a City groundhop as the quality of recordings are poor, therefore it seems fitting to show the original ‘Poznan Groundhop’.
Meadow Lane is going to quake to the Poznan.
