It would be selfish for any City fan to accept that City’s previously long unprecedented success this season has been purely down to Roberto Mancini’s brilliant work in constructing a side built upon a strong teamwork ethic capable of winning trophies.
No, without a shred of doubt your obsession with liddle ciddy which has long manifested itself in a tick tock banner at the swamp has finally served to goad a squad of Manchester City players and a rabid support into an obsession of their own: The will to bring your banner down.
And this is where we need your help again.
It’s clear that our squad of infighting, individualist mercenaries are now ready to take their game to the next level. Many of them are already talking of their desire to win the Premier League.
You can help fuel the City fire again. We need another banner at the swamp. There is already talk in the Home Counties of your Liverpool ‘stick it up and run squad’ planning to unveil a new City focused display before the last game you will win this season on Sunday.
If it does point to the last time The Citizens won the title, you’ll be well on the way to launching our next season before it’s even started.
We might well be taking thousands to Bolton that same day but you can be sure that our Blue eyes will check in and see what you’ve come up with outside the city walls. We are counting on you to do the business.
