New Hierachical Era at Eastlands

Garry Cook has now found his right hand man to deal with the day to day runnings at City with Paul Aldridge being chosen as the man to do the job.

Clearly Garry’s role in the organisation is to go out into the world and sign the Manchester City brand up to multinational companies with lucrative contracts. That was something that Mackintosh failed miserably at because the terms of the deals that were signed were more Birmingham City than what Manchester City should have been. Clearly Tottenham Hotspur were the bench mark for a club like City and I for was as an ex-shareholder was embarrassed by how poor the deals that City had agreed to.

Going back to the shareholder issue; I was very upset to have been forced to undersell my shares last summer when the main instigator behind the forced sale was to keep his highly paid bonus led job. So when now we have finally seen the back of him and brought in clearly a man who has cut it at a huge sports multi-national company it has made me feel a lot better about relinquishing my shares.

I hope that Paul Aldridge can strike up a good relationship with our new Team manager, Mark Hughes as clearly it will be Paul that Mark deals with most on a board level as I expect Garry to be jetting around the world building relationships with sports most influential people as he tries to mold Manchester City into Dr Thaksin’s image of a global football power.

There are still a few people of influence that still remain at the club that I feel have clearly out stayed their welcome and I hope that Paul and Garry can spot these rather cancerous elements within the organisation and so Manchester City can make a clean sweep and a totally new fresh start in the strive to make City great again.

One person I hope is given more prominence again is our club secretary Bernard Halford. A man who knows football inside out, backwards and forwards; indeed any which way you wish to mention. His contacts within the FA are valuable to a club and his ability to make all FA officials feel at ease and get the correct paperwork at the right time is one of the reasons we have ended up with our Fair Play UEFA place.

So with the top of the pyramid taking a much more prominent shape. Lets hope Mark Hughes can build on what last season has started and improve our final league points total by at least five points to help secure a merited league UEFA cup place.
