How disappointing that we have today got to lunch time without City getting a completely new team.

With the season over and the World Cup not started it is a great pastime to see which players are heading to eastlands according to the written press.

Today we have Hart (returning), Boateng, Munoz, Luiz, Arteta, Gerrard, Milner, Silva, Rossi, Ibrahimovic.

So Zabaleta or Ricards or Onuoha are looking safe today folks!!

I’m sure that other Vital sites are seeing their Clubs linked with various footballers and it must be discouraging for young players to see seasoned internationals being linked with their Club who would clearly take preference over them and also players who have pledged their futures to Clubs looking as though they are ready for the revolving door.

As I have said on several occasions, City weren’t far off it last season and of the above the Arteta, Gerrard, Milner thread looks good but for me not Gerrard at the expense of Michael Johnson.

I have never seen what Managers see in Ibrahimovic. For me he is just another so-called striker in the mould of Adebayor – can do it on his day but how often do those days come along?

After Joe Hart’s exceptional season with Birmingham I for one would love to see him back for City, even at the expense of Shay Given, who will probably miss the start of the season anyway.

Mancini looks as though he is getting his teeth into things and trying to obtain some established start before their stock rises in the World Cup. Transfer windows are a very exciting time to be around Manchester City right now. I’m sure Rebecca’s fax machine and e-mails are rattling along at an all-time high!!

We love you City….
