After a while one can desensitise about who will, and who won’t join Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. Having said that there are one or two rumours which can still stir one’s loins.

Neymar rumour

Stories surrounding Neymar leaving Barcelona have been around for a while now. In fact, the Manchester Evening News run a story as far ago as February about whether the 24-year-old Brazil forward was going to re-new his Nou Camp contract, which expires in 2018.

Two days ago The Sun (yuck!) published a story which said that Neymar’s representative, Wagner Ribeiro had received interest from three clubs, (he wouldn’t name then) thought, by the Red Top to be Manchester City, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

By all accounts Ribeiro, when quizzed said…

‘Today there are three big clubs in the world who want to hire Neymar and pay the clause of ?200million to Barcelona. I cannot say anything else, because it is a sensitive subject.’

According to Forbes, Neymar is the third highest paid footballer in the world, behind Messi and Real Madrid rival Cristiano Ronaldo.

Does this rumour stir your loins, and do you think there is there any truth in the story?
