Everton manager David Moyes is expected to cut short Brazilian striker Jo’s loan deal and return the 22-year-old to Manchester City.
Everton signed Jo on a season-long loan after Mark Hughes decided he didn’t want him at Eastlands, but as expected, Jo has been a flop at Goodison Park after failing to score in 15 Premier League games. Put simply, Jo is now surplus to requirements.
Jo was signed from CSKA Moscow for £18million but following a mere nine first team appearances Mark Hughes did the honourable thing and offloaded the free-luncher. If as expected and Jo returns to Manchester then perhaps he’ll become one of the most expensive Premier League flops in history.
Jo has another 18 months left on his City contract.
