Manchester City manager Mark Hughes believes City will offer Blackburn Rovers one more bid for striker Roque Santa Cruz and if that it turned down, City will walk away.
An initial fee, tabled late on Wednesday, is believed to have been for £16m, only a slight improvement on the £15m offered in the second of City’s two bids; however, time is running out for the Lancashire club.
Hughes admitted for the first time yesterday (Wednesday 8 January) that the pursuit of players was proving tough.
