Opinion: Brahim Diaz Will Probably Leave Next Summer But May Stay In England – WHU?

|

Brahim Diaz is nothing short of a sensation, but he simply can’t get enough first team Manchester City action and will probably leave the club in the summer – West Ham United perhaps?

Think about it?

Other than the 19-year-old Spaniard making the occasional first team appearance one can guarantee he’ll be on Pep Guardiola’s starting XI for domestic competitions. But, for a midfielder oozing with ability and talent the odd sighting cannot be enough for someone with ambition.

Reports had suggested, before the beginning of the season that Diaz was going to be shipped out on loan to either Leeds United or Girona. But, he decided to stay for now and fight for his place.

Could he become another Jadon Sancho?

Jadon (18) has an abundance of talent but with the likelihood of never becoming a first team Manchester City regular, decided enough was enough and forced a move. And within 12 months he had impressed at Borussia Dortmund sufficiently for a senior England call-up.

Player’s way ahead in the pecking order

Kevin De Bruyne – Bernardo Silva – David Silva – IIkay Gundogan – Phil Foden?

West Ham United?

Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini was the Manchester City manager when Brahim came to the Etihad and will know a thing or two about him. Plus, former City stalwart, Pablo Zabaleta had trained with Brahim and will recognise his qualities.

Value?

When Diaz becomes available, I would be disappointed if the club accepted a bid less than £10m.

What do you think?
