The 34-year-old has made 11 appearances in all competitions for Txuri-urdinak this season, scoring one goal with two assists. He’s amassed 854 minutes of football from a possible 1080 and is indispensable under Imanol Alguacil.
As per WhoScored, Silva has created 11 chances, completed 86.3% of his 351 passes, won 6/19 aerial duels (31.6%), made 8/13 successful dribbles (61.5%), had nine shots with 22% hitting the target, whipped in nine crosses with 44% finding a teammate and averaged a tackle (7) or interception (5) every 48 minutes from eight La Liga games.
Sociedad are top of La Liga with 20 points from nine games – two clear of second-placed Villarreal. They’re coming off the back of five consecutive league wins and are joint-top in their Europa League group too (3 games, 6 points).
Silva is having a fantastic season after returning to Spain and could end up a title-winner as things stand.
