Opinion: Kylian Mbappe’s Recent Tweet & Why He Could Be Manchester Bound

|

The word buzzing around every worldwide media outlet is that Manchester City is considering a mind-blowing, gust busting, mega £200million offer for Paris Saint-Germain supremo, Kylian Mbappe.

The story surrounds UEFA who are believed to be snooping into PSG’s finances as part of their Financial Fair Play investigation.

PSG love to spend BIG but their income is not that huge compared to the majority of Premier League clubs. And so it appears they can’t have their cake (Neymar and Mbappe at the same time) and eat it without annoying UEFA.

UEFA

The European football governing body and Manchester City’s relationship has been, to say the least, strained at times. I would say the damage caused over City breaking their FFP rules a couple of years ago may be irrevocably damaged.

Other examples, but that is for another day was the way the club was treated regarding some of their players and how they were dealt with by away fans in the Europa Cup some years ago. And then there was the CSKA Moscow debacle.

Utterly despicable.

One in, one out?

The club is blessed with world-class strikers and so if we are to bring the France international to the Etihad during this January transfer window one of our players are going to have to be shipped out.

But who?

Raheem Sterling appears to be the media’s favourite.

It has been highly publicised about his current contract and the fact it expires in the summer of 2020. So, in my opinion, he has to be the bookies favourite. Not unless he signs a new deal, pronto.

This story is going to rumble on for another three months, at least and so we Blues had better get used to it.
