They’re all at it now. We only need the Likes of Chocky McClair and Bryan Robson and we’ll have had the lot of them at the trough over Manchester City this season…

Andy ‘Andrew’ Cole, who benefitted from serious surgery and rehabilitation at City is first out of the blocks, droaning from the Middle East.

The dreadfully failed rapper still rates Liverpool as the rags main rivals. Right you are, Andy. The scousers, currently gripped with the euphoria of scraping the League Cup sit 24 points behind The Blues in the Premier League table having scored a pisspoor 29 goals compared to City’s 67:

‘The United City rivalry only become so intense this season and the back end of last season. Manchester City have the financial resources. And that has helped them get some good players to push on to try and win a Premiership. But when you talk about rivalry over the last year and a half, rivalry has been Liverpool. Liverpool has always been our main rivals when it comes to championships and we passed them by one championship. That has always been the biggest rivalry.’

Enough already, cue Peter Schmeichel who we once had hope for but is obviously still smarting over City saying ta-ra to his son Kasper Schmeicel in deference to the brilliant Joe Hart. Lord Taggart himself could have scripted this:

‘I think City have done exceptionally well, but I think they are scrapping a bit at the moment. There have been a few 1-0s, a few close calls. It’s a sign that the season is coming to a close.’

Good grief. Anyone would think the rags repeated odd goal wins this season and the last never happened. He went on:

‘United have been in this position many, many times before. We know the significance of every result, and of losing ground. But we also know it’s never over until it`s over. When I say ‘we’ I don’t mean the team, I mean the club, I mean the supporters – we know that, we’ve been there. The big task for City is: do they know that? It’s added pressure when you are leading going into March and April because everyone is chasing you.’

Our keep it coming rags file is beginning to bulge.
