Forget the fact that this is a few days late – it’s late for a reason, and that reason is that I am a very lazy man.
I’d like to open the proceedings with the news that former City manager Mark Hughes agreed to join the Cottagers on a two-year deal. Sparky was instrumental in helping to shape the club after the takeover, laying the foundations for all of the future success that the club is heading for. His harsh dismissal was undoubteldy a low point of last season and I’m sure he will recieve a good reception when he returns to Eastlands.
The new Fulham boss has apparently been told that he ‘must sign Bellamy’, which probably wouldn’t go down so well. Roque Santa-Cruz on the other hand…
One manager who won’t recieve such an appreciative reception with the City faithful is non other than Tottenham’s wheeler dealer, tax evading ‘Arry ‘Bagpuss’ Redknapp, who had the audacity to try and take Craig Bellamy on loan. This was unsuprisingly blocked by the City heirarchy.
This hasn’t perturbed ‘Arry though, who is still pondering a raid on City, like a Chinese student camping outside of Selfridges hoping to grab a Gucci bag in the sales.
The transfer of James Milner doesn’t seem to be getting anywhere with Villa refusing to budge on the price. This saga has gone on longer than the Never Ending Story promised to.
The sequel to Never Ending Story, the well documented Mario Balotelli transfer saga, continues to make headlines despite nothing actually happening. The talented teen has finally spoken, although I can’t say it sheds any light on the story, apart from the fact that he has homesickness fears. Diddums.
It is also worth a mention that apparently, Emmanuel Adebayor has been told that he can leave Manchester City… What a load of bollocks.
Its unbelievable the rubbish that journos come up with just to sell a bit of paper. Writing a fictional story does not constitute as news? Unless you were one of those silly Americans listening to War of the Worlds.
