Manchester City hope to land Juventus striker Paulo Dybala in the summer say Italian outlet Don Balon.

The original story reared its head three months ago but now, and for some bizarre reason the story is beginning to gather momentum.

Here are a couple of roughly translated paragraphs.

‘One of Dybala’s great wishes is to train under the orders of Pep Guardiola. A coach capable of bringing out the best in his players. Now that City has taken a step forward and seems a clear candidate for the Champions, Paulo believes it is time to land in England.

‘Pep, of course, sees it with good eyes. And is that if there is a player like Messi that is Dybala. Guardiola would be delighted to have the Argentine in their ranks. A story that will give much of itself in summer.’

Paulo Dybala

Current Juventus contract runs until the summer of 2022
Current market value – £77m
Position – striker.

The 24-year-old left footed Argentine international is described as being creative with oodles of pace and talent, with an eye for goal and in the form of his life. His nickname is ‘La Joya’ (“The Jewel” in Spanish).

Season 2017/18 Serie A Stats

Played 19
Goals – 14

Looks to me as though he’s a Pep Guardiola type of player.

Reports last November suggest Manchester United were interested.
