At the end of what has been one of the toughest week’s for Stuart Pearce in his professional career so far, you’d have thought he’d have had enough of football for one week, but it was nice ( and a surprise ) to see him seemingly enjoying himself this evening at Deepdale, where he watched Preston beat Barnsley 1 – 0.

Now I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for Preston, a local club steeped in history and tradition, but without being unkind, it’s not an obvious place to go after the sort of week Psycho has had.

I just wonder whether he went there just to take in a game of football as a neutral or whether he was there to watch anyone in particular; David Nugent for instance, who a few Premiership clubs have been taking an interest in – time will tell.

Hopefully he wasn’t there to check some of next season’s opposition out.

Come on City – let’s now all get behind the Manager so that he can begin to turn things around. What he ( and the team ) need is fantastic support tomorrow against West Ham – let’s all give it to them !
