Pep Guardiola isn’t short of attacking-midfielders with Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan, Phil Foden and Cole Palmer at his disposal, but Jesus Doreste of Todofichajes says Manchester City are interested in Alberto Moleiro – a 19-year-old who plays for UD Las Palmas.
De Bruyne, Gundogan and Mahrez are all over the age of 30, so City will eventually need long-term replacements in attack. Moleiro, a No.10 at the Estadio Gran Canaria, is a central playmaker type so he could be supplying the bullets for Erling Haaland in the future.

Todofichajes say Barcelona wanted the 19-year-old and tried to sign him last summer, but Las Palmas president Miguel Angel Ramirez rejected their offer. And after renewing his contract, Moleiro now has a release clause of €30m (£26.1m).
The Spanish U21 international has made 48 appearances in all competitions for Pío Pío, scoring three goals with four assists. Moleiro has been scouted by City and is a player Guardiola has reportedly ‘directly recommended’, but it remains to be seen where he’ll end up.
Moleiro has a contract until 2026 in Spain and is playing regularly under García Pimienta, so he might be content to stay for now. The 19-year-old would thrive at City with talented playmakers to learn from, let alone Guardiola being his manager, but no offer has been lodged from the Premier League champions.
