Pep Guardiola has given a positive injury update on Sergio Aguero ahead of Manchester City’s meeting with Fulham on Saturday afternoon but stopped short of saying whether the 32-year-old will make the matchday squad.
Aguero has been out of action with a knee injury since November but has recently returned to training and is building up his fitness.

The £38.7m-rated Argentine international has spent most of the season sidelined with injury, making only four appearances in all competitions.
Aguero missed our 3-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers (September 21), EFL Cup win over Bournemouth (September 24), 5-2 defeat to Leicester City (September 27), EFL Cup win over Burnley (September 30) and 1-1 draw with Leeds United (October 3) with a knee injury.
He returned to play in our 1-0 win over Arsenal (October 17), Champions League win over FC Porto (October 21) and 1-1 draw with West Ham United (October 24), before injuring his hamstring and missing our Champions League win over Olympique Marseille (October 27), 1-0 win over Sheffield United (October 31), Champions League win over Olympiacos (November 3) and 1-1 draw with Liverpool (November 8)
Aguero was an unused substitute in our 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur (November 21) and played in our Champions League win over Olympiacos (November 25) before another knee injury caused him to miss last Saturday’s 5-0 win over Burnley (November 28).
The 32-year-old can’t seem to stay fit this season, so here’s hoping his injury woes are behind him and Aguero can get a run of games under his belt without a setback.
