Pep Guardiola has admitted that Sergio Aguero’s future at Manchester City is uncertain but says he isn’t worried, reports the Independent. He said: “He’s a guy who deserves with the club the fair talks to do what is the best for him for the club and for everyone. In that you should not doubt.” Aguero has made 374 appearances in all competitions since joining City from Atletico Madrid in 2011, scoring 255 goals with 73 assists.

The 5ft 7in Argentine international has won four Premier League titles, five EFL Cups and one FA Cup in Manchester. He’s been a terrific servant who deserves a special send-off, but it will be a sad day when Aguero leaves. He’s the latest remaining player from the team that won the 2011/12 crown.

Aguero will turn 32 at the end of the season and has spoken about wanting to return to former club Independiente, so he won’t be planning retirement when he departs the Etihad Stadium. Guardiola will find him a difficult player to replace.
