Pep`s Selection Headache For The Weekend?

I hate to sound like I`m wise after the event but, well, I`m going to when I start by reflecting on our win last night.

I knew it would be a pretty straightforward win for the lads and, boy, was it, as we strolled in at half-time looking capable of scoring close to double figures at the Emirates.

Arsenal were never going to respond after the cup final and, despite the shivering temperatures, we were blisteringly hot last night.

One man, like many other onlookers`, caught my eye, though, and that was Leroy Sane who had an absolutely excellent game.

The boy, quite possibly, is going to be a world class player and it`s frightening to think he`s probably not even been one of our best five performers this season.

He`s still only a kid as well and, this weekend, he`s made Pep another selection headache – which I`m sure the boss is all too pleased with.

Raheem Sterling is meant to be back this weekend as we face Chelsea but ‘Raz` might just have to be patient for a return.

Truth be known, though many would say Sterling has had the better campaign and been the stronger player this year, I think most would prefer Sane in the side.

Chelsea, then, represents the latest chance for Pep to show his favour for one over, for want of a better description, because KDB, David and Bernardo all deserve to keep their places.

And, if Sane produces another top performance, I think he could be in the side for the long run. He`s been one of the standout players in the big games, too, and so it wouldn`t surprise me at all to see him excel.

Sorry Raheem, but I think you might be in a bit of trouble for game time?

Who would you prefer this weekend? Sane or Sterling? Let me know!
