The Premier League have now announced the five youngsters who are in the running for the November 2017 Premier League 2 Player of the Month Award.

The five players shortlisted for this month’s award have been drawn up following PL2 Managers nominating the best individual performance from each of their opposing teams across the course of the month.

And given November’s action, the following find themselves on the shortlist.

The Premier League have some blurb on each of the nominations for this month.

Phil Foden (Manchester City)
The 17-year-old winger got one goal from his two PL2 appearances. He also made his UEFA Champions League debut last month.

Jake Hesketh (Southampton)
The 21-year-old midfielder struck four goals in three appearances in PL2 and the Checkatrade Trophy.

Harry McKirdy (Aston Villa)
The 20-year-old forward impressed in both his PL2 matches last month, scoring one goal.

Adam Phillips (Norwich)
The 19-year-old midfielder, signed from Liverpool in the summer, got one goal from three appearances, two in PL2 and one in the PL Cup.

Ethan Robson (Sunderland)
The 21-year-old midfielder earns his nomination after playing in a variety of competitions for Sunderland last month, including PL2, PL Cup, PL International Cup and Checkatrade Trophy.

The eventual winner will be decided on December 15 by a panel of the Premier League Football Development Department.

2017/18 PL2 Players of the Month Winners:

August – Reiss Nelson (Arsenal)
September – Harry Wilson (Liverpool)
October – Declan Rice (West Ham)
