Wishful thinking? There’s a whiff of desperation about pontificating UEFA President Michel Platini’s latest anti-City agenda comments…

We’d almost forgotten about him amid the most exciting conclusion ever to a Premier League season but it’s only taken five days since City were crowned English Champions for the dreary European elite club protector to wade in with a new angle.

No doubt crestfallen at City’s continued stunning success, this time Twatini is suggesting that His Highness Sheikh Mansour and Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak might do one:

‘We have to protect the clubs, because while they pay Manchester City will be happy but if the owners leave Manchester City what is going to happen with this club?’

Should City fans begin to nervously eye SportCity’s exit doors or are The Champions in safe hands?
