Big things are expected of Erling Haaland after his summer arrival at Manchester City as he’s coming off the back of 20 goals in 23 Bundesliga games, making five assists.

The 21-year-old spent two years at Borussia Dortmund and had a hand in 104 goals from 88 games. Haaland is a genuine successor to Sergio Aguero and Gregor Robertson told The Game Football Podcast that he’s excited to see him in action.

Robertson said: “Haaland, his game is all about impact. I just can’t wait to see him in the Premier League, brushing defenders off and plundering goals. I can’t see him doing anything else personally.”

Haaland averaged just shy of a goal per game with BVB and Norway, so there aren’t many attainable strikers in Europe that are more prolific. Robertson noted that the 21-year-old will change how City player due to his aerial dominance, preference to convert crosses and physical attributes.

Haaland has the height of a target man, pace of a poacher and finishing ability of a real marksman, so he has everything you want in a modern day striker. Haaland guarantees goals regardless of where he plays, so there will be a big expectation for him to get off the mark early next season.
