The game at Fratton Park has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.

According to the official Portsmouth FC website, the decision was made by referee Mike Dean following a 10.15am inspection of the Fratton Park pitch after temperatures dipped to minus seven degrees centigrade overnight.

Portsmouth Chief Executive Peter Storrie said: “We’ve had heaters on the pitch for most of the week but unfortunately some frost got in down the middle of the pitch and that’s where the problem is.

“We wanted the game on today because we’ve got key players back and they’ve got key players missing.”

The fixture will have to be rearranged but there has been no date set as yet.
