Pop Goes The Weasel?

Tevezgate is back on the sporting agenda with the rebel without a pause now back in the city he hates. Save for a couple of pocketed hacks, he looks increasingly isolated…

Any moment now we’ll be hearing as to what extent Carlos Tevez’s return to training at Carrington reached today. Be it back with the senior squad, alone, or with the youth players, the craparazzi up in the trees will be sending the images in to The Street of Shame.

Maybe his efforts will eclipse the half an hour he put in back in August once he had completed avoiding an entire pre-season. That extended summer break was yet another extraordinary concession that Manchester City afforded a player whom the club have bent over backwards to accomodate. By his own admission, the protracted absence left him in poor physical condition.

To collective disbelief across English football, Tevez and his much loved career guru have decided to come out fighting demanding apologies and threatening to ‘fight all the way’ (copyright The News International City Appreciation Society) in reaction to the club statement yesterday that confirmed: ‘there is a case for Carlos Tevez to answer of alleged breaches of contract.’

Clearly cornered, it could well be that this is Tevez’s final throw of the dice knowing that his adviser’s pisspoor hastily released misunderstanding statement the morning after Tevez went to Sky Sports hacks alone declaring ‘I didn’t feel right so I didn’t play’ has fallen on deaf ears.

With the evidence stacked against him, no player or coach prepared to side with him and found guilty of refusing to play against Bayern Munich, Tevez is to face a club disciplinary hearing, preferably before the coming weekend.

The striker (sic) maintained post Munich that he still has a connection with City fans. Alright then, is it too much to ask that Mancio benches him for The Villa game on Saturday and invites him to come on in the closing stages should the result already be in the bag…?

Another Misunderstanding…?
