Possible Teams: City v Bolton

After the awful performance away at Hull, I for one am expecting a big improvement in terms of performance and effort. Mancini has already said that he expects Johnson and Vieira to start their first games in Blue after impressing with performances from the substitutes bench. I’ve also heard news that Vincent Kompany is available for selection again after initially being told he could face up to 2 weeks on the sidelines.

Micah Richards could also come back into the side after recovering from a calf strain which he picked up against The Rags at the Swamp. The only other change I would like to see made is Gareth Barry out and Shaun Wright-Phillips in. We badly lacked width and penetration against Pompey and Hull and I would like to see Mancini start with two out-and-out wingers.

As Vincent Kompany returns to the centre of the defence, Boyata his fellow countryman will have to step down. And I think that this is the right time for the youngster to step out of the lime-light. He’s done a really good job and no doubt in the future he will be a fantastic player, but I think going back into the reserves will help him. The only only new injury news is that Craig Bellamy as aggravated his knee and is definitely out of the game with Bolton.

Here is the team I would like to see:

City Team:

(4-4-2)

1) Given

2) Richards – 28) Toure – 33) Kompany – 3) Bridge

8) Wright-Phillips – 34) de Jong – 24) Vieira – 11) Johnson

32) Tevez – 25) Adebayor

And here is how I expect Bolton to line up:

Bolton Team:

(4-5-1):

Jääskeläinen

Ricketts – Knight – Knight – Robinson

Cohen – Muamba – M Davies – Lee – Taylor

K Davies (c)
