Mark Hughes: ‘We weren`t good enough tonight unfortunately. We didn`t execute our game plan. We look at every game we play and review the positives and negatives, tomorrow we have more things to address. We can look at guys were missing but that`s no excuse there is a responsibility on everyone and you have to perform at a top club like Man City. We look at the season as a whole we have lost two games I sometimes agree we haven`t won enough, today we were below a good level. It`s early days, we`re in the mix, we have a game in hand but truthfully we want to be higher.”
Harry Redknapp: “That was as good as we`ve played. We came out, started well and never took our foot off the gas. Aaron was brilliant, they all were, the team was brilliant. City are a strong side and will be back, in the next 5 years they will get stronger and stronger, but tonight we were the better team and deserved the win. To come here today and to perform like that was fantastic.”
Niko Kranjcar: “Throughout the 90 minutes we were the better team, we created better chances and deserved to win the game. We believe we have a squad and talented players who can achieve big goals this season and we hope we will.”
