With most playing 31 Premier League games in the 2016/17 season, a number of players are still in the chase to take this year’s assist King crown recognition.
In contention for this year’s recognition for being the top assister in the Premier League are Gylfi Sigurdsson, Kevin de Bruyne, Christian Eriksen, Alexis Sanchez, Matt Phillips, Ross Barkley, Cesc Fabregas, Adam Lallana and Pedro.
However it remains possible that Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic, Dimitri Payet, Raheem Sterling and Wilfried Zaha could still make a late run at taking first place in that particular table as they all sit on six for the year so far, and there are a few on five for the campaign who could at least finish in the top ten table.
Largely though there are enough games left for the table below to change so we’ll just have to see what happens and at this stage with so few assists between the top ten players, it would take a brave man at this stage to try and call an eventual winner.
