The Premier League will officially announce the 2018/19 season fixture list at precisely 9 am BST on Thursday 14 June, however and as ever, speculation is rife as to who the Champions will face on August 11, the opening day of the season.
The Premier League’s super-computer will have taken into consideration dozens of permutations, including December’s festive period fixture glut. What the number-crunching computer will say ‘no’ too is the live TV scheduling. Sky and BT Sport usually announce their live fixture list, from the opening day through until November, a couple of weeks after the Premier League.
The written media and the UK TV broadcasters will already know ‘who plays who’ however, they are sworn to secrecy, also known as ‘embargo’ until the EPL publish their list. The reason why the press gets a ‘heads-up’ is straightforward. It gives them time to prepare their respective articles.
Opening fixtures – leaked?

As you can see, if the above list is correct Manchester City will open their campaign, at the Etihad against Everton.
Either way, Blues will get the definitive answer in just ten days time.
