Last weekend’s Premier League game against Burnley saw seven Manchester City regulars crocked and unavailable for selection. The good news about tomorrow’s fixture against Leicester City COULD be a shot in the arm for Pep Guardiola’s selection dilemma with one, two, possibly three making themselves available.
Definitely out
Benjamin Mendy – he’s doing plenty of gym work but is nowhere ready.
Gabriel Jesus – his leg brace has been removed however, no one has seen him train.
Fabian Delph – his muscle injury is still side-lining the England international.
Leroy Sane – leg brace and crutches were abandoned earlier in the week. Whispers suggest he MIGHT be available within 7-14 days.
Availability?
Phil Foden – yesterday, Phil trained with City’s first team squad and should be available for selection.
David Silva – his abdominal strain has all but heeled and should make him 60/40 ready for selection.
John Stones – trained yesterday and should be available.
Have we turned the corner and witnessed the last of the abysmal set of injuries?
