Progress: Without a doubt

The Sven revolution has certainly gained widespread support but still we have our fair share of doom mongers amongst our support. Sometimes to assess progress we need to take a step back rather than focus on the present. In doing so we can evaluate more clearly and identify how far our great club has moved on. Below are two teams that could have represented City in recent times. Team (A) managed by Stuart Pearce takes on Sven`s best eleven (team B). Form your own opinion on which side would win, and note all of this has all taken shape in less than twelve incredible months.

Team (A). Manchester City twelve months ago and with players no longer on the pay roll.

Manager Pearce, Assistant Wigley, Keeper Weaver, Defence, Mills, Distin, Mills, Thatcher, Midfield, Sinclair, Trabelsi, Barton, Miller, Forwards, Corradi, Dickov.

Team (B). Manchester City now. Manager Sven, Assistant Backer, Keeper, perm any from Kasper, Hart, Isaksson, Defence Corluka, Dunne, Richards, Garrido, Midfield, Geovanni. Elano, Hamann, Petrov, Forwards, Mpenza, Bianchi.

Apart from the massive drop in the player`s average age, team (B) is far superior.

Don`t doubt the progress for it is plain to see. It just seems sometimes we forget the past all too quickly. In my opinion only Two from team (A) would be worthy of playing in team (B); now that is some achievement in such a short space of time. !!!!!
