Stoke City boss Tony Pulis said he was desperately disappointed not to have beat Manchester City on Saturday.

In his post match interview the 52-year-old Welshman told the BBC…

‘We played some lovely football in the first-half. I know which style of play our supporters have enjoyed – we played really, really well. I can’t remember them (City) having a chance in the first-half.’

‘You can have all the money in the world and all the top players but we played like a team today, as one. It takes a lot of beating, irrespective of who you’re playing against.’

‘We were desperately disappointed to not come in winning the game after our first-half performance.’

‘When you’re on top against one of the best teams in the league you have to take your chances – and that was the one thing that let us down today.’

‘We’ve got to do better with our final pass and finish to get the results we want.’
