During today’s press conference, ahead of their weekend trip to Burnley, West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis said the club had rejected a £18m bid by Manchester City for their centre-back, Jonny Evans.
Pulis made it very clear that the club doesn’t want to sell their club captain, however, they’d let him make the final decision if an acceptable bid was made.
‘It would be crazy to say West Brom won’t sell if a huge amount of money is put in front of you,’ said the 59-year-old journeyman.
‘It would need to be a good offer. We’re not desperate for money. Jonny’s one of our best and we’d love him to stay.’

Evans is prone to recurring calf injuries and was crocked for over 50 days last season. In 2014 a similar injury kept him out for nearly three months.
