Report: Club have ‘added’ Man City man to ‘wishlist’, president watched Euro 2020 performances

Spain have been eliminated from the 2020 European Championships, falling short to Italy in the semi-final, but Ferran Torres’ performances are one of many positives they can take from the tournament.

The 21-year-old had a hand in three goals from six games and Defensa Central say Real Madrid have ‘added’ him to their ‘wishlist’ after president Florentino Perez watched his performances.

Torres joined City from Valencia last summer and has gone on to make 36 appearances in all competitions, scoring 13 goals with three assists.

The Spanish international didn’t always command a starting place in his debut season due to competition from Bernardo Silva, Riyad Mahrez, Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden, but he looks a promising talent.

Real have Eden Hazard, Vinicius Junior, Marco Asensio, Rodrygo, Gareth Bale, Lucas Vázquez and Takefusa Kubo at their disposal, but it appears Perez wants to add another attacker for Carlo Ancelotti.

After losing out on the Liga title to fierce rivals Atletico Madrid, Los Blancos are determined to win it back by having enough firepower. Whether City would let Torres go just one season into his stint at the Etihad Stadium remains to be seen, however.
