Mike Jones

Former top level referee Keith Hackett likes Mike Jones but he certainly doesn’t think he’s capable of being a Premier League referee.

Season 2017/18

Appointed to the top level in 2008 the 49-year-old self-confessed Chester City supporter has officiated 20 domestic matches, during which he’s issued 74 yellow and three red cards.

On this occasion Mr Jones nearly kept his cards well and truly in his pocket. The only pitfall was AFCB’s Adam Smith (yellow).

Mike went nuts by brandishing his yellow to Danilo, Fabian Delph, Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling. Outrageous!

Controversial Mike will undoubtedly be the ‘centre of attention` come the final whistle. DEEP JOY!
