Report from Portugal says Man City want 18 y/o with 6 goals and 6 assists from 14 starts

Pep Guardiola isn’t short of playmakers with Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan and Cole Palmer at his disposal, but Manchester City have reportedly found a long-term replacement.

According to Record (h/t Sport Witness), City are interested in Maccabi Tel Aviv midfielder Oscar Gloukh and may have competition from Tottenham Hotspur, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund for his signature.

The 18-year-old rose through the youth ranks to the first-team last season and has gone on to make 31 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals with six assists.

Gloukh has started 14 games across the board this campaign, scoring six goals with six assists, so he’s averaging a goal or assist every 1.16 matches (99 minutes).

It’s easy to see why City would be interested in the young attacking-midfielder, but it’s unknown whether the Sky Blues will win the race for his signature given all the interest.

Maccabi Tel Aviv’s record departure is Eran Zahavi to Guangzhou City for €7.2m (£6.4m), so Gloukh may not break the bank even if he’s sold for more money.

In other news, bizarre report says Man City are interested in £26.6m replacement for Stefan Ortega
