Report: Man City interested in Tottenham man but 28 y/o prefers La Liga move

|

Despite missing out on Harry Kane over the summer and seemingly turning their attentions to Erling Harland and Dusan Vlahovic, El Nacional say Manchester City are still interested in the Tottenham Hotspur striker.

Pep Guardiola never replaced Sergio Aguero before the summer transfer window shut, forcing him to rotate Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling and Ferran Torres in attack.

And although City are top of the Premier League table with the second-most amount of goals (40 in 17 games), a striker does appear to be on their agenda next month.

Kane has made 356 appearances in all competitions for Tottenham, scoring 229 goals with 51 assists, but he might still be looking for a way out of North London. The 28-year-old tried to force a move over the summer but Tottenham didn’t budge.

It remains to be seen whether City returning in January will lead to a different outcome, but El Nacional say Kane is also interested in a move to Real Madrid. The England international may like to replace Karim Benzema at the Santiago Bernabeu, so are City wasting their time?

Is it worth signing a £150m-rated player that turns 29 next summer and is requesting £400k-per-week wages?
