Report: Stoke City eye 19 y/o Man City player with 3 league appearances in 2 months

Taylor Harwood-Bellis has spent the season on loan at Anderlecht but Belgian outlet Het Belang van Limburg say he could be cutting his stay short amid interest from Stoke City. The 19-year-old was a regular under Vincent Kompany but has been short of playing time of late as his form has wavered.

Harwood-Bellis has made 19 appearances in all competitions for Anderlecht since joining temporarily from Manchester City, but he’s featured only three times since early-November, amassing just 12 minutes of First Division A football.

The England U21 international was an unused substitute in Anderlecht’s 1-1 draw with KV Kortrijk (November 21), 5-0 win over RFC Seraing (December 11), 2-2 draw with Club Brugge (December 19) and 7-0 win over Beerschot V.A (December 27), so it doesn’t appear he has a future at Lotto Park.

Het Belang van Limburg say Stoke hope to capitalise on the situation as Harry Souttar is currently injured while Leo Östigard joined Genoa on loan. The Potters have Ben Wilmot and Danny Batth at their disposal but line up with three central defenders, so more cover may be needed.

If Harwood-Bellis isn’t holding down a regular place at Anderlecht, there’s little reason for him to stay in Belgium.
