Manchester City defender Micah Richards is due to fly home from an extended stay in Cyprus today (Sunday) after it emerged the 21-year-old had Swine Flu.
He told The Sun…
‘At first I thought it was a really bad chest infection, or maybe alcohol poisoning. I felt so weak I couldn’t move or eat.’
‘When I was told I had swine flu, all sorts of things started going through my mind. You see on the news people dying of it.’
Thankfully his Tamiflu medication appears to have worked, however why would he think he had alcohol poisoning?
Micah was staying in a five-star hotel near the resort of Ayia Napa, the clubbing paradise for many, therefore might I suggest the local Keo lager, the brandy sours and the Meze’s got the better of him.
