Robbie Turning Gobby During Enforced Absence?

Another week, more Robinho quotes in circulation. This time a club called Barçelona are on the agenda again according to reports circulating in Brazil…

Alledgedly, the quicksilver but currently sidelined City striker has been interviewed by a Brazilian radio station called Bandeirantes and spoke in glowing terms of the Nou Camp giants who City defeated 0-1 on their home turf without him last August:

‘I’m very happy about the interest that Barcelona have in me, playing in the Nou Camp it is much easier to be the best player in the world than at City.’

He then took the shine off that statement a little by countering:

‘I’m not forcing a hypothetical exit from England and neither do I have problems with my coach.’

This is in danger of becoming increasingly tiresome. You can hear the groans along Ashton New Road already.

This correspondent won’t be the only Blue today wishing that Robbie would keep his mouth shut when quizzed about Barça, or at the very least, try not to give the anti-City hacks anything to drool over in the absence of City defeats.

There is a place for you at Manchester City in the English Premier League Robbie backed by fantastic supporters. That’s if you want it and are prepared to fight for it. You aren’t doing us any favours giving copy out like the above. If this story is nonsense then please let’s have some air cleared immediately.

Has Robbie berkishly let his mouth run away with itself again or is he really angling for a return to Spain? Give us a shout both here and in the VMC Forums..
