Manchester City’s Premier League record signing Robinho faces another three weeks on the sidelines as he recovers from injury according to City boss Mark Hughes.

He explained: ‘It is still in a pot, so he [Robinho] is not training, just doing work in the gym.’

‘I would imagine it would be another two to three weeks.’

Hughes has been struggling for available strikers over the past few weeks with Bellamy as City’s only 100% fit option.

Robinho, Tevez, Santa Cruz and Benjani have all been suffering with knocks or injuries, while Adebayor was hit with a three match ban for his stamp on Van Percie.

Hughes will be relieved that he now has Tevez, Santa Cruz and Adebayor back in contention for a starting berth along-side the excellent Bellamy, while Martin Petrov has proved his worth as cover for Robinho on the left-wing.
