Sunday 18 October 2009: News of the World claim Manchester City’s record signing, Robinho has quit his English classes at the club’s Carrington training ground and is no longer committed to learning the language.

Neil Ashton from the News of the World writes…

Despite Robinho’s happy-go-luck approach, shaking hands and smiling at everyone he comes into contact with, he is itching for a move back to Spain.

He misses Brazilian team-mate Elano, his ally in the City dressing room last year when his work-rate was under scrutiny.

Is this journalism or is this a someone who was sat in front his laptop scratching his head wondering how he could fill his quota of football stories?

Even if Robinho has quit his English language lessons does that mean he’s ready to quit Manchester City FC? How many times have you decided to put a project on the back-burner simply because you need a break, or perhaps you want to focus on something else for a while?

Rather than write and publish a negative story I am going to re-write Neil Ashton’s two paragraphs…

Robinho’s happy-go-lucky approach, shaking hands and smiling at everyone he comes into contact with is because he realises MCFC is the only club in England with the finance and infrastructure to break into Sky’s Top 4.

He misses Brazilian team-mate Elano, his ally in the City dressing room last year when his work-rate was under scrutiny and is known to keep in regular contact with someone he respects.

Wow, that was difficult!

Monday is another day and another opportunity for the hacks to write more claptrap. I for one can’t wait – NOT!
