Robinho scored in his first match playing for Santos against Sao Paulo by scoring a cheeky back-heel, then runs off to celebrate by kissing the Santos badge on his shirt, but why?

Before you watch the goal celebration take a look at a few of our member’s comments.

fifthcolumnblue – It’s a bit like Samaras going to the SPL – any player can look good once he’s in a slightly ‘lesser’ league.

Good luck to him, but I can’t help wondering how long it will be before he’s in a strop with Santos After all, he doesn’t seem to leave many clubs on good terms.

johnkelv – Hope he can score a goal a game, don’t think he wants to come back to the prem. If he plays very well, should ramp up his sale value in the summer window.

Bluedub – I was always told if I’ve nothing good to say then don’t say anything at all.

SIR TROYSTER – I’m not Mystic Meg or Gypsy Rose Lee but even I could have predicted that Robinho would score on his debut in the Brazilian pub league, jeez I reckon I could come out of retirement and score over there.

cityman51 – Will Robinho come back to us in or after the World Cup (if he proves himself fit/ good enough) ?as I don’t think he will or has the inclination to make it in the PL as his performances have shown this season, and look at the way he stropped out of ‘his 1st love’ Santos, and Real Madrid, and now he’s doing the same to us by declaring ‘he would stay at Santos for 4 years if the president wants me’ that is not a man who seems to want to come back to the EPL…Does it?

SIR TROYSTER – Good riddance I say, cheers for the ‘memory’ but the truth is you ain’t cut out for the hustle and bustle of a league such as the Premiership, and one thing that irked me is the Santos manager said Robinho wasn’t fit, now I know he was injured for a short spell but he’s been back in training for over two months and played some first team games in the process, but why isn’t he fit, any other player would have got themselves 100% fit inside two months so why hasn’t he, no I’m well pleased we’re shot of him.
