Rooneygate: A Ready Up? A Fix?

Our club and manager are doing well with a stand-offish/ no comment approach to the rags disarray and this correspondent recommends we follow suit…

Sure, it’s an all time classic watching a fanbase built on arrogant smugness cave in on itself with banners already aloft at the swamp labelling their favourite scouser a whore. The smart debt on that evidence would suggest that Wayne Rooney’s position with the Norwich scarfed massive is now untenable.

However, we’ve witnessed and been on the receiving end of Sir Alex Ferguson’s mind games before. Could the affable and chirpy 69 year old be attempting to pull off his biggest sting of all?

By that, I suggest getting our Malcom and his lads to commit to throwing money at his squad that they haven’t got or sell up and get out as the support angrily implodes.

For me, Rooney and Taggart were always going to be made for each other. A snarling rat boy goaded into action Biffa Bacon style by his roaring grandad.

All the evidence right up until the book of Glazer regime revelations turned another page this week pointed directly to that marriage made in Stretford.

There has been enough historical arslikhan between the two to make this week’s events all the more astonishing. If anything, Rooney’s statement, written by his agent or dare I say it, Taggart himself, continues the trend with a few choice words of praise.

Could Rooney really be that stupid or is he genuinely fed up with being rushed back repeatedly too early from injury and perceives no ambition?

Taggart for his part has pathetically claimed that there is no player of high enough quality out there worth signing when repeatedly confronted with questions as to why united’s previously relentless transfer record breaking escapades have dried up.

You can bet your bottom Miami Dolphins dollar that he’d be flying all over Europe in search of his missing new generation had he the financial clout that City have now and the rags would stop bemoaning liddle ciddy’s transfer market domination as being ‘all wrong’ over night.

Maybe the Glazers will now be panicked into action and find some sort of funding or a gargantuanly rich buyer from somewhere.

Or maybe united’s third talisman in a row is set to jump ship and leave the Premier League title campaign goals to Tiny Tim Owen and Dimitar Berbaflop and as the shirt says, it really is All Over Now.

Just don’t put anything past Taggart, Blues.
