20 year old Greek star, Georgios Samaras, is on the verge of joining Manchester City, it is claimed by Sky Sports. It is reported that Samaras’ father has said that City and Samaras have agreed personal terms with just the transfer fee left to be agreed. Heerenveen are believed to be holding out for 10 million euros with City prepared to offer no more than 7.5 million euros.
Not the big name expected by many but, from all accounts, a very talented individual. Given Arsenal’s interest in the player I would suggest there is plenty of potential. It would also appear that City may well have more funds available than at first thought if they are prepared to spend near on £5 million on potential.
