For the second time in a week united’s rusting midfield anchor man has decided to re-diss The Blues via the hacks, revisiting his been there, seen it, done it angle.
In an interview with every rag’s favourite sunday rag, The Sunday Mirror, this time around, he seems to be referring to a Premier League ‘Big Three.’
‘I honestly think it will be the same as any other season really…The same teams that are always there will be up there – ourselves, Chelsea and Arsenal.’

‘Tottenham had a great year but whether they manage to do that again, I’m not sure. How good City are going to be we don’t know yet. They have been spending big money again this summer but whether they can gel together in time this season remains to be seen, although there’s no doubt they have a quality team now.’
Thanks for that nod of recognition Scholesy, but again, you’ve highlighted that when the rags were repeatedly breaking transfer fee records unchallenged across the years this ‘gelling’ factor was never in question.
