You would just like to think it would be fair for everyone. Why should these teams get preferential treatment? It should be the same for everyone.’
The alledged ‘word on the rue’ in France is that UEFA President, City rent-a-quote and Premier League football nemesis Michel Platini might have had a hand in nudging his FIFA counterpart in the direction of seedings once it became clear that France’s strolling playboy millionaire side were under real threat of World Cup elimination should they end up playing somewhere like Moscow.
