League One outfit Shrewsbury Town’s 3-1 penalty shootout victory earned the club two valuable Checkatrade Trophy North Group D points following a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes (the competition does not employ extra-time at this stage).

Meanwhile, City’s U21s left Montgomery Waters Meadow with their heads held high and one point from their group-stage opener.

A respectable 85 Blues, including the lads from Man City Fan TV, made their way to Shropshire for the 7 pm kick-off, and by the sounds of it, those in attendance left thoroughly entertained.

While they were at the ground, the lads were out and about talking to and filming both sets of supporters. In part two of their YouTube channel video, the contributors give us their thoughts about City’s defeat.

The U21s continue their Checkatrade Trophy campaign on 25 September when they travel to Gretsy Road, the home of Crewe Alexandra.
