League One outfit Shrewsbury Town’s 3-1 penalty shootout victory earned the club two valuable Checkatrade Trophy North Group D points following a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes (the competition does not employ extra-time at this stage).
Meanwhile, City’s U21s left Montgomery Waters Meadow with their heads held high and one point from their group-stage opener.
A respectable 85 Blues, including the lads from Man City Fan TV, made their way to Shropshire for the 7 pm kick-off, and by the sounds of it, those in attendance left thoroughly entertained.
Heartbreak for City, who miss three penalties and lose the shoot-out which nearly featured heroics from Aro Muric. #mcfc https://t.co/RQQIa8FYQi
