Manchester City striker Valeri Bojinov or sicknote to you and I is expected to be sidelined for another several months.

The 22-year-old Bulgarian international joined City from Fiorentina last summer for a cool £6million and since then has only managed to grace the Blues team a paltry three times.

Talking about Bojinov’s injury, manager Mark Hughes said…

‘He is a little bit behind the group because he hasn’t been able to join in the sessions.’

‘He has been out for a long, long time and he is suffering from a knock-on from the knee injury.’

‘We are aware that he will have setbacks along the way. His body is compensating, and he needs to get more base strength.’
