Sky Sports football pundit Charlie Nicholas has gone on record by saying tonight’s Carabao Cup Fourth Round tie between Manchester City and Fulham could end up in a goal fest.
“Fulham can’t keep a clean sheet no matter who they play, so I don’t think making changes does them any favours at all,” said Charlie via the official Sky Sports website.
“They need to take lessons in how to park the bus sometimes, but they really do look incapable of doing so.
“Everywhere you look around the Manchester City squad there’s quality, and Pep Guardiola doesn’t know how to take it easy. He demands they win every game and I think they’ll do that here quite easily.”
The 56-year-old former Arsenal and Celtic striker predicts City will thump the Premier League strugglers 4-0.
Ilkay Gundogan has returned from injury and has stepped up his training schedule over recent days and could feature.
Danilo is also in contention following an ankle injury as is Fabian Delph.
Possible starting XI
For what it’s worth I am going to stray away from Charlie’s prediction and plumb for a more reserved 2-0 City victory.
