State Of Emergency

Manchester City Football Club is in crisis. A crisis few of us could have believed remotely possible 3 months ago…

It’s impossible to find the words to explain away an 8-1 drubbing to any side at this level. To his credit Sven Goran Eriksson has faced the music, but his players, who showed a frightening ability to throw in the towel before at Chelsea let him down appallingly today. Over half of them must never wear the shirt again.

One thing is for sure. Few Premier League managers would hold on to their jobs after a result like today’s, whatever the divisive, destabilsing, demoralising atmosphere that has been allowed to persist unchecked at the club.

We understand at Vital MCFC that the Fair Play European place could also have gone following Richard Dunne and the relentlessly awful Sun Jihai’s cautions. Fulham did not pick up a booking at Pompey.

Brace yourselves, Blues. There have been some bad days in our history but we have seen them through. All hell could break loose in the next few hours and days. We are going to need every ounce of that MCFC resilience to see this through.
