London plays host to both Manchester City and United games this Sunday, but will the Metropolitan Police be able to cope with such as ‘Mass Mancunian Migration’?

United face Tottenham in the Carling Cup final at Wembley at 3pm while City play West Ham at Upton Park in the Barclays Premier League at 12.30pm.

The national stadium is expecting over 40,000 United supporters while Upton Park can expect in the region of 2,500 Blues.

Policing London

A police spokesperson said…

“The Metropolitan Police is hugely experienced in policing football, frequently policing several matches in one day and the streams of fans that pass through and around the capital.”

“An appropriate policing operation will be maintained on the day.”
